Girls' Brigade
We have an active Girls' Brigade Company who meet on Tuesday nights during school term time between 6.45pm and 8pm. The girls, aged between 5 and 14, take part in a variety of activities based around a 4 element programme (spiritual, physical, educational and service) including cookery, communication, games, money matters and beauty. We also take part in local district events including the swimming gala and hold a camp or sleep over every year.
Girls' Brigade is an international and interdenominational Christian organisation for girls and young women between the ages of 5 and 18. The aim of the Brigade is 'to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ' and to find true enrichment of life. GB has been in existence for nearly 120 years. For more details about Girls Brigade nationally and internationally, please visit our website www.girlsb.org.uk.

Junior Church
Junior Church meets on Sunday mornings during term time. We join the congregation for the first 15 minutes of the service, and then we head off to our own activities. We use the ROOTS resource, which links in with the lectionary. Our activities vary from week to week; they include prayer, stories, games, discussions and craftwork. Several times during the year we join the congregation to share in Holy Communion. We lead two all-age worship services during the year, including our Gift Service in December. We also organize an activity morning on Good Friday each year.
We welcome children from the age of 3 upwards and often split into two groups within the same room to ensure all of the children feel involved. We currently have 6 leaders who work in pairs on a rota.
We round the morning off by joining the congregation for juice, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Make and Play
We welcome parents and their children from all sections of the community, irrespective of gender, age, race, cultural or ethnic background. We are an informal group providing a play and stay facility on Mondays & Fridays (10am - 11.30am). There are weekly opportunities for craft, educational play and a nice cuppa in this warm social environment. The group is led by Adell Mason who is trained in childcare, holds a first aid paediatric certificate and is CRB checked.
